We did not spend much time in Mumbai, only driving from the pier to the airport…about an hour each way.
Mumbai is huge. It has about 22 million people. The “about” means a lot. There is a huge part of the population that come in from the country side to find work. They may live on the street for weeks or months, then leave to be replaced by others.
These photos may not accurately represent all of Mumbai, but at the majority of the area that we traveled through on this day did look like this.
