How a Jungle Can Hide a Temple

We are back on ship from our trip to Anchor Wat (all the Anchor temples) Cambodia. We took over 150 photos in the one day we were in this complex. It is going to take me 12-18 hours to get the postings up, but I thought I’d do one tonight.

These two photos are of the Ta Prohm temple. It helps one realize how it is possible for a jungle to hide a temple for centuries. This temple complex was built in the 12th and 13th century. The huge trees are Kapok trees that are about 600 years old. Note how huge they are and how they totally can encapsulate a large stone wall.
