Overview of the Geography of the Normandy Invasion

The beach is mostly northern facing. It is very large…looks like about 50 miles long in total. Going from left to right (when facing north), from west to east is: Utah beach, Point de Hoc, Omaha beach, Mulberry Harbor, Gold Beach, Juno Beach, and Sword beach. I’ll refer to some of these locations in postings below.
